While a technician was preparing the hair units the surgeon would suture close the wound caused by the removal of the hair strip.
The FUE or follicular unit extraction method actually does not require the removal of a strip of hair. Instead, each individual hair follicle unit along with its associated glands and tissues is removed from the donor area. This only leaves a mark such as a pin prick which is almost completely unnoticable. The surgeon then procedes to insert each of the hair units individually into the bald area. This gives a very natural look.
